Carolina Herrera Spring 2014 at New York Fashion Show

The Carolina Herrera Spring 2014 collection is inspired by the Kinetic Art movement and Venezuelan artists Carlos Cruz-Diez and Jesus Rafael Soto. Embracing the exploration of the optical effects of motion and the eye's perception for spring, Carolina Herrera applies that sensibility to material and silhouette.Through layering of geometric motifs on a range of fabrics from organza to chiffon and voile, with touches of jeweled embellishments and appliques, the clothes in motion create a virtual, multidimensional experience for the viewer. Patterns of black and white, and prints in crimson, sienna, and smoky umber contrast with the soft tones like tea green, porcelain, and mauve to accentuate this play on perception. The runway audience was thrilled for the the stand out looks presented in New York Fashion Show 2014.
