Givenchy Spring/Summer 2012 Collection (with details)

Givenchy Ricardo tisci paris fashion week 2012 d

Tim Blanks review

Riccardo Tisci always wanted to be a surfer when he was a kid. He could never have known that the biggest luxury conglomerate in the world would one day wave its wand over his wish. And so it came to pass that Tisci got to create a collection of clothes that turned his childhood fantasy into an elaborate, provocative reality.

That's been the story of Tisci's life since he was taken on by LVMH six years ago to reanimate Givenchy. Fairy tales do come true. And truer. After establishing himself as the embodiment of fashion's dark night of the Catholic-Gothic soul, Tisci has gone into the light with his new menswear collection. It was dawn in Givenchyworld—tropical-flower prints, crystals and sequins sparkling like dew on leaves, and white… so much white, banishing every trace of the black that has been Tisci's trademark up to this point. More to the point, it was a triumph.

We are definitely feeling this new Shawl Collar Camo Sweater from the Billionaire Boys Club Fall/Winter 2010 Collection. The leather patches also work well on the piece, while branding has been kept simple, with no visible logo on the upper.

PHENOMENON 2011 Spring/Summer Collection

Japanese label PHENOMENON break through with a much more designer-friendly collection for next season, as opposed to the street-centric styles we’ve seen in the past. Headed by Takeshi Osumi, Spring/Summer 2011 comes full force with a strong variety of textiles, patterns, and cuts, all pairing a multitude of styles into what surprising equals well-matched outfits. Seen amongst all the earth tones is a an emphasis on the color blue, offered in various different shades throughout the line.

Star Style - Zac Efron [Wears Balmain Denim Biker Jeans]

Zac Efron has been seen out recently wearing a pair of Balmain denim biker jeans (approx. $1,550). These khaki colored biker jeans feature a distressed wash and knee pad detailing with a leather logo patch at the rear. Balmain has a way of taking basic pieces and mixing, deforming and mistreating them to give their clothing an edgier look. Do you like?
