Ranging from $652 to $832, the collection features spike studs with leopard leopard horsehide, python print calfskin, black/white calfskin leather.

Neil Barrett Spring/Summer 2012 Collection
Coming from a long line of naval tailors, Neil Barrett has the cut in his blood. There is always a military precision in the way he creates new hybrids from his influences. This season, for instance, he blended army fatigues, biker leathers, and the natty houndstooths and herringbones of the 2 Tone ska revival. Then he shrunk and cropped the whole lot to Barrett's signature proportions and sat it on top of chunky cyber-bovver sandals. Some of the combinations looked completely natural, like the tan trench or wool blazer hybridized with a motocross jacket, or the biker vest with the army green cotton back. They were the most convincing. Other pairings were less so. True, within the mandate of the collection, a leather-patched aviator jacket over houndstooth shorts was logical enough. Likewise, the herringbone blouson with the cropped pants.
Jimmy Choo Men’s Fall/Winter 2011 Footwear Collection
($1,029)After several years of neglect, Jimmy Choo, the popular women’s shoe brand, has finally relaunched their men’s footwear line, which was discontinued back in 2002. The Fall/Winter 2011 Collection ($782-$1,431) consists of loafers, sneakers and boots with leopard, tiger, crocodile leather and paisley jacquard print. The success of Prada's Spring Summer 2011 Espadrilles Brogues sees this popular design make a comeback for Fall Winter 2011. But this time, the summer element of using jute rope trimmings (espadrilles style) has been removed and exposing the stripe detail sides on the soles. Colours are also adopting a more sombre tone, in deep burgundy and timeless black.

The collection has nice basics though: a biker boot, loafer, monk strap, sneaker, etc. I was looking for atleast one standout shoe amongst the line. But then again, when I think about what Jimmy Choo women's shoes are classically known for, it's top-notch craftsmanship and extreme comfort (even if they're 6 inch stilettos). So maybe the men's shoes will stick with that same blueprint for now and creatively branch out later.

Christian Louboutin’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection is beginning to roll out, and one of the first releases from the men’s footwear line up are these Daddy Flats ($895). These shoes are currently available in black suede and leopard grosgrain, and feature the classic tasseled loafer design with Christian Louboutin’s signature red sole.

Christian Louboutin continues to roll out more variations of his edgy Rollerboy Spikes shoe design for Fall 2011. This time, the shoe takes a turn towards the ostentatious (as if the spikes weren’t enough), with a gold studded and leopard-print upper. The upper is crafter from pony hair, with red accents around the ankle as the finishing touch. They are now available through the Louboutin website.
