Designer Nikhil Thampi seems to have started a fire with his METAL PLATED BELTS showcased in his Cruise Collection at Lakme Fashion Week this year. These Gold & Silver accented statement belts are the highest degree of International chic. A trend originally started by Alexander McQueen, is finally being accepted in the Indian Fashion Scene this season. While Bollywood Actress Vidya Balan was seen wearing a Nikhil Thampi creation on the Marie Claire May 2013 cover, Hello Magazine had Chitrangada Singh posing for them on the June 2013 cover, in a Pia Pauri dress with the now-iconic Nikhil Thampi Metal Belt. However, the talk of the town right now is Sonam Kapoor, who sported the same look for the official L’Oréal Paris look book for their L’Or Sunset Cannes Collection scheduled to be unveiled at Cannes soon.
